The vision of a team of breast cancer
survivors coming together to paddle a
dragon boat in the beautiful waters of
Long Beach, California began in 2002.  
Diane McCabe was a member of the Los
Angeles Racing Dragons (LARD) who was
a breast cancer survivor.  

She dreamed the dream and contacted
Team Survivor Los Angeles who recruited
the core group of survivors who began
the team that became the Los Angeles
Pink Dragons.
Los Angeles Pink Dragons, founded in 2003, is California's first dragon boat team comprised solely of
women who have survived breast cancer.
We are a group of individuals who enjoy working together and working hard to move our boat through the
water.  There is always laughter, joy, camaraderie and support.

We are a welcoming group of women, always willing to make room for a new member!
